Privacy policy — QuizDMV
Version: 2026-09-30
1. Controller and scope
MEGALEIOS DESENVOLVIMENTO DE SOFTWARE LTDA. - ME (Megaleios) is responsible for QuizDMV and processing under its control. This policy describes the current app version and store and advertising services when enabled. The contact for privacy questions and requests appears at the end.
2. On-device study data
We store answers, sessions, results, bookmarks, mistakes, marked flashcards, resume position, language, declared age group and preferences locally. This supports study and progress tracking. We retain up to 500 completed sessions. We do not send study answers or history to a Megaleios server and do not use a separate analytics SDK. Age group is a category, not a date of birth.
3. Accounts and permissions
When you choose to sign in, we use Google Firebase Authentication to manage your identity. Data includes account identifier, email, verification status, provider and authentication metadata. A social provider may supply a profile name and photo; QuizDMV does not request contacts or files from those accounts. Email passwords go directly to Firebase through its SDK and are not stored in the study database or app logs; Apple/Google passwords are entered only with the provider. Firebase also processes IP addresses and device/browser information for security and abuse prevention. We use this data to create and maintain accounts, verify email, recover access and handle deletion. Verification and recovery emails are transactional, not marketing. We do not request identity documents, card details, camera, microphone or GPS.
4. Store purchases
Apple or Google processes payment under its own policies. The app receives product, transaction and purchase-status information to validate and restore ad removal and prevent fraud. Evidence of purchase entitlement is kept in secure device storage. Megaleios does not receive your card number through the app. Clearing progress does not delete purchase records held by the store.
5. Google AdMob and privacy choices
When enabled, Google AdMob and its UMP consent platform may process IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, technical information, ad interactions and consent choices. Purposes include serving and measuring ads, recording choices and preventing fraud. Exact types depend on the platform, permissions and choices. We request non-personalized ads; this does not eliminate all data processing. We do not request ads for users under 18, unknown age groups or recognized ad-free purchases. Applicable advertising messages and options let you review choices. Declining a required permission does not prevent study.
6. Sharing and external services
We do not sell study history. Advertising services may share the data described above with their providers for the disclosed purposes; stores retain payment and transaction data. Megaleios does not send study history to these services. Providers may process data in other countries under their policies and applicable mechanisms. More information: Google — https://policies.google.com/privacy ; Apple — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ . Firebase Authentication: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy .
7. Retention, deletion and security
Firebase Authentication retains account data until deletion; according to the provider, removal from live and backup systems may take up to 180 days, while logged IP addresses are kept for a few weeks. Delete your account in Profile > Your account > Delete account and confirm your identity again. Deletion revokes Apple authorization where applicable. Local progress is not linked to identity: use Clear progress in Profile to erase it. Signing out or deleting the account does not cancel or transfer store purchases. Preferences and privacy controls are separate. Session tokens use the native SDK persistence; the app does not write them to the study database. There is no cloud backup of study progress. Store and advertising records follow their providers policies. No technology guarantees absolute security.
8. Contact and your rights
When you contact us, you share your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and handle requests; please do not send passwords, card details or identity documents. Depending on applicable law, you may request information, access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to uses and withdraw consent when it is the basis for processing. Use the contact below. For on-device study progress, use device and Profile controls; we have no remote copy to retrieve. Requests about store or advertising data may also require those providers' channels.
9. Young users
The app is intended for people aged 15 and over, not children under 13. It does not request ads for users under 18 or with unknown age. Parents or guardians may supervise use and contact us about improperly submitted data. We do not request a birth date or identity document for age-group selection.
10. Policy updates
Updates will have a new version date. Material changes will be disclosed and new permissions or consents requested when needed. Reading this policy does not replace specific consent choices.
11. Support website
Public support, terms and privacy pages use Firebase Hosting. The provider may process request IP addresses for security, abuse prevention and usage analysis, retaining those records for a few months. We do not add advertising cookies or an analytics SDK to these pages.
